Hello everyone! After years of honing my craft at writing fanfiction, I'm finally ready to return to my more normal projects. I've re-purposed Cain and Lucifer, and it's now called Noble Monsters. It's a low-fantasy, dark (borderline horror...) series, set in contemporary times. So far only the prologue is finished. It features several main PoV characters, and will be three books at minimum, but probably more.

This is definitely a story for mature readers. A hard R if it were a film. So people more familiar with my YA fanfiction... you've been warned!

Year 4 Comments

Hello all, making a new page for Year 4 for comments. Keep things a bit more compartmentalized and organized for everyone :). Well we're moving right along now, aren't we!? You all realize that by the time Chapter 8 comes out, we'll be 1/5 of the way through Year 4?!

Adventures of Harriet Potter discussion forum

Hello all! As my travel opportunities haven't proven as fruitful as I'd like, I'm again re-purposing the blog back to my writing. So from here on it is to serve as the sort of comment space for my writings on fanfiction.net because it's easier for me to correspond with readers here than it is there.

For those who don't know, Adventures of Harriet Potter is a re-imagining of the Harry Potter books from the perspective of Harry being a girl. This is not an entire gender-swap, it focuses pretty exclusively on Harry in that regard (and Ron to keep the best-friend dynamic going). It also expands much further into the wizarding world than original canon went. As of this point I have rewritten the first book (added to by 34k words), and the second book (which ended up being more than doubled in length, from 85141 words in canon to 175497 words). I'm currently about 3/4 of the way through the third book, and already it's surpassed canon length by 25k words. So for anyone who doesn't have the link, here's the links books!

Long Time No See and a Major Announcement

Hello all! Sorry for being so absent for so long, just stopping in to say that after a year of working on my practice project of "The Adventures of Harriet Potter," I have polished up my skills enough to where I feel confident working on my own original writing again. I have a project in mind and am hammering out the details. If anyone out there has any publishing advice, words of wisdom, etc, please feel free to give it!

The project will be a series of books in the young-adult genre. I'm definitely not ready to make an announcement yet as to plotlines and such until I am sure of what my rights are... don't want to "give someone else" the same idea and have them jump on it before I can actually carry it out, after all...
